New Energy Opportunities Limited Opens Branch In India

New Energy Opportunities Limited (NEO), a global clean energy investment company, has expanded its GreenH2 Global network after opening a branch in India.
This expansion follows the strong performance of GreenH2 LATAM, GreenH2 Africa, and GreenH2 Europe, which have delivered multiple clean energy projects across their respective regions, setting the blueprint for India.
The goal is to scale its proven venture-building model across key international markets.
The model has a proven track record of bringing multiple clean energy projects and technologies to market, delivering over $650 million in market capitalisation and more than $24 million in returns for shareholders.
GreenH2 Global brings together over 15 clean energy professionals with teams already established in Latin America, Africa, and Europe, and is actively delivering large-scale clean energy projects with multinational firms.
NEO believes its expansion via the GreenH2 Global platform positions the company at the forefront of clean energy deployment, leveraging its international partnerships and project pipeline to create lasting environmental and economic value across continents.
The Company says it has seen significant demand for its technology globally, which was the key reason behind forming its global network. NEO has an end-to-end portfolio of clean energy products, ranging from production to end-use.

LATAM Progress:

  • GreenH2 LATAM is currently executing one of the largest clean energy portfolios in Latin America, with seven hydrogen initiatives under development across Panama, Costa Rica, and Mexico. These projects represent a combined capital value exceeding USD $300 million and over 200 MW of renewable energy capacity.
  • Ongoing hydrogen injection technology pilots with some of the largest transport and logistics groups in Latin America, representing 12,400 vehicles.
  • Advanced negotiations with two of the continent’s leading beverage bottlers, including one with over 30,000 vehicles across 11 countries.
  • Active discussions with companies in Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic to initiate six-month pilot programs.
  • Execution of a framework agreement with TW Solar, a Colombian-Spanish developer with more than 700 MW of approved capacity in solar and green hydrogen projects. This agreement grants GreenH2 LATAM access to up to 8 hydrogen projects in Colombia, from which we will select the most viable for execution.

Europe Progress

  • GreenH2 Europe has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Fame Exclusive Services to roll out hydrogen injection kits across its 15-vehicle fleet. The agreement also provides access to the Professional Drivers Association, which represents thousands of vehicles.
  • In parallel, GreenH2 Europe is working with a municipality in Athens to convert plastic waste into energy and plans to deploy electrolysers to fuel hydrogen-powered garbage trucks, which we will supply.

Some of the key technologies it will seek to deploy:

  • Alpha H2: Hydrogen injection kits that can be easily installed on trucks and buses, reducing fuel use and emissions by up to 20%.
  • Liberty Hydrogen: Electrolysers for efficient and scalable green hydrogen production.
  • H2i Technology: Hydrogen injection systems for heavy machinery, cutting emissions and fuel consumption by 20%.
  • XtremeH2: A portfolio of electric and hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles.
  • Voyager H2: Advanced exploration technology to locate natural hydrogen reserves.
  • Hydrogen Plus: A wellness-focused range of hydrogen water beverages, skincare products, and baby formula.

Indian Market Overview

India is emerging as one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing clean energy markets. With over US$125 billion invested in renewable energy between 2014 and 2024, the country has established itself as a global leader in solar, wind and hydropower development. Today, India has more than 179 GW of installed renewable capacity, including approximately 76 GW of solar, 46 GW of wind, 47 GW of hydropower and 10 GW of bio-energy.
The Indian Government has set an ambitious target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, enabling the country to meet half of its total energy needs from renewable sources. These goals are supported by favourable policy settings, strong private sector participation and a national focus on energy security and sustainability.
Hydrogen is also becoming a key pillar of India’s clean energy strategy. Under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the Government aims to produce 5 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2030. The initiative is backed by a budget of ₹19,744 crore (approximately A$3.6 billion) and is designed to build a domestic hydrogen market, support decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors, and create new export opportunities.
With strong growth fundamentals, policy certainty and global investor interest, India’s clean energy sector — including its growing hydrogen economy — is well positioned for sustained expansion over the next decade.

Hector Sanchez, Chair of GreenH2 Global and CEO of GreenH2 LATAM, said:

“India represents one of the most significant clean energy opportunities globally. With strong government backing, rising energy demand, and a clear commitment to clean energy, it’s the right time for New Energy Opportunities Limited to enter the market. Through our GreenH2 Global platform, we’re bringing proven technologies, international partnerships, and a venture-building model that has delivered results across Latin America, Africa, and Europe. Our goal is to accelerate clean energy deployment and create long-term economic and environmental value for India.”

Will Davidson, CEO of New Energy Opportunities Limited, said:

“The expansion into India marks a defining moment for GreenH2 Global. We’ve demonstrated across Latin America, Europe and Africa that scalable clean energy solutions can be deployed quickly and effectively — from transport and logistics to industrial decarbonisation. India’s scale, ambition, and policy clarity make it the ideal next step. We’re here to build long-term partnerships, transfer knowledge, and replicate the success we’ve delivered across multiple continents.”

Jay Sinha, CEO, GreenH2 India said:

“India is on the cusp of a clean energy transformation, and GreenH2 India will be central to that journey. At GreenH2 India, we’re committed to delivering practical, proven clean energy technologies that meet the needs of Indian industry and infrastructure. Backed by the global strength of the GreenH2 network, we are ready to play a leading role in accelerating India’s transition to a low-emissions future.”
